Rice Pilaf

This pilaf can be made with any rice, just adjust cooking times as per the directions on the package.

  • ½ cup Long Grain Rice
  • 1 cup Cold Water or Stock
  • pinch Salt
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • ¼ cup Toasted Sliced Almonds
  • ¼ cup Raisins, rinsed well


  1. Place water, long grain rice, salt and 1 tbsp of butter in a saucepan.

  2. Cover and bring to a boil.

  3. Turn to simmer and cook covered for 20 minutes.

  4. Add remaining ingredients and serve.
