America's favorite sweet bread.
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Using a mixer, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add pumpkin purée and eggs and beat until well mixed.
Sift dry ingredients together and fold into mixture (do not overmix). Pour into prepared loaf pan (greased, sprayed or lined with parchment).
Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Test for doneness (use a knife or toothpick or bamboo skewer and insert – if it comes out dry, loaf is done).
Cool on rack for 10 minutes and invert to remove from pan.
Freezes well.
